Jay W. Hildreth, DDS
Dr. Jay Hildreth graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village Kansas in 1962. After attending The University of Kansas and University of Missouri at Kansas City for undergraduate studies, he entered the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School, graduating in 1969. He married his wife, Judy, in June of 1967.
Dr. Hildreth and his wife moved to Fort Knox, Kentucky, in August of 1969, and Dr. Hildreth served in the Army Dental Corps until August of 1971. While they were at Ft. Knox, their first son, Jim, was born. After the service, Dr. Hildreth took over the practice of Dr. Throop in Wamego, Kansas in August of 1971. Their second son, Rob, was born in October of 1972. Dr. Hildreth practiced in Wamego until 2000. At that time, he semi-retired because of health limitations. Rob has three children. Jay and Judy enjoy their time following their grandchildren’s activities.
He has extensive experience in all phases of dentistry including crowns, bridges, endodontics, extractions, along with restorative, preventive and periodontal dentistry.
For recreation, Dr. Hildreth enjoys canoeing, boating, fishing, camping, and travel. He also enjoys playing Bridge with Judy during the winter months.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Meet Liz, our registered dental hygienist. Liz was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas. She attended Kansas State University and Highland Community College — Wamego. She graduated in dental hygiene at Fort Scott Community College. Liz has lived and practiced in Johnson County, where she raised four boys, for the last 13 years. After the craziness of 2020, Liz moved from Olathe to St. George, Kansas. She joined our team at St. Marys Dental Center in June 2020. Liz enjoys four wheelers, hiking trails, fishing, camping and just about anything outdoors with her family.
